Two Types of Donations

Have you ever wondered how you can give back to TYCA-SE, an organization that benefits us all with its scholarship, fellowship, professionalism, and camaraderie? We’re happy to offer two ways you can support the health of our favorite professional organization.

One way is to give to the Fund for Excellence. You can donate in your own name or perhaps you would like to make a donation to the Fund for Excellence in honor of a colleague who has won an award or achieved another degree. Or you could donate to the same Fund in memory of a TYCA-SE member who has passed away. The Fund for Excellence supplies monies for the awards that the organization gives to recognize excellence and service within our discipline and organization, such as the Cowan Award, the Doster Award, and the Nell Ann Pickett Award. As TYCA-SE is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization, your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

Another suggestion is to donate a yearly membership. For those of you who are Lifetime Members and were given your membership when you won the Doster Award, or those of you who purchased a Lifetime Membership some years in the past, perhaps you would wish to “pay it forward” by donating a membership to the organization. You can designate a person to whom you would like to give a membership, or you can let your donation be designated by your REC. Similarly, those of you renewing your annual membership, perhaps you would like to donate a second membership to a colleague, or you can just let your REC select the recipient.

Two Ways to Donate

Both types of donations can be made through this EVENTBRITE link. You can also mail a donation check to your TYCA-SE Treasurer (contact information found here), making sure to include the specifics of your donation. Thank you for considering making one or both types of donation opportunities. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated for furthering the mission of our organization and for ensuring our future growth.
